About Orchard Neville House
Orchard Neville House and gardens are tucked away in the village of Baltonsborough, Somerset. Originally home to the Neville-Grenville family from the 1850’s, some of the grand features of this era can still be seen in the hallway with the original call bells to summon the house maid and cook. The house has recently been lovingly refurbished and restored – reinstating, for example, all the original shutters and reconfiguring rooms to provide luxury accommodation. All seven bedrooms are ensuite and the house sleeps up to 14 people.
New additions to the property include a spa and kitchen garden which have been created to help guests relax, unwind and rejuvenate in this peaceful garden whilst being surrounded by nature. One of the most beautiful spaces to sit and take in the incredible views is our glass balcony which overlooks two giant macrocarpa trees. A settee on the second-floor landing leads out to the balcony with breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside where you can see for miles. If you fancy a more down to earth cosy experience, the wood burning stove in the drawing room may be your cup of tea.
We have installed an advanced Wi-Fi system that provides excellent coverage throughout the house. For those family members who want or need to work while they are here, there is office above the garage that can be incorporated within your stay.
Our Biomass boiler system provides all the hot water and heating for the house whilst also ensuring that we are as eco-friendly as possible for this old property.
With plenty to do and see in the local area this is the perfect base for big family holidays, large group celebrations and self-catering corporate stays. Walks are on the doorstep to a good local pub and shop/café/bakery.
